Feel Comfortable in Church?

This is q question on the box of a set of recorded sermons that was sent to be by George of New Bedford. I have only listened to a part of it, but it is definitely something I don't hear in my church. The back of the box lists some questions that are supposed to be answered in the sermons:

• Why is making unbelievers feel comfortable in church so dangerous?
• What gives the gospel its power and why are so many of today's churches failing to tap into it?
• What did God truly promise to those who embrace the gospel?
• What did Jesus mean when he said "Follow Me"?

The title of the set is "Hard to Believe" and it is by John MacArthur. He's not one of my favorite preachers, but this set might be worth getting- call 1-800-55-GRACE.

Life Changes

My mother is being moved to a nursing home today. She is 80 years old and unable to live alone. Since last fall she hasn't been well with one thing or another. It has changed her and made her frail. One day slips into the next over and over and over and then suddenly something is very different. And it will never go back to the way it was.
