Stop Growing / Start Growing

Yesterday a radio preacher said something that is worth remembering: When a Christian stops repenting, he stops growing.

I might add, When a Christian starts repenting, he starts growing.

Quote from Em's Graduation

If you go into life to serve God, you won't have to look for a miracle- you'll be the miracle!

Charity

Last Sunday we were in Pennsylvania for the weekend. On Sunday morning we visited Charity Christian Fellowship in Leola and enjoyed their morning meeting. The singing and preaching and fellowship and prayer time were all a tremendous encouragement. Compared to the evangelical churches we have known it is just a different "world." I really don't know how to adequately describe it.

After listening to many recordings of the teachings from there over the last ten or more years, I feel like I "know" them and have an understanding for what they (as a body) are. There is a sense of zeal and joy in Christ that I have not experienced elsewhere in almost thirty years of fellowshipping in various Christian settings. But it's more than the zeal- it's a zeal that truly seems based on the Truth as God has revealed it in the Scriptures. I'm sure it's not always all it seems, but it's almost overwhelming, nonetheless.
